A Is for Ah, Gitu Doang?!

Warning: spoiler, what else?

All right, so my fav team won The Amazing Race -- with me still being unable to tell the who from the other who. But somehow the ending wasn't satisfactory. Or rather, the final episode wasn't.

For one, it was only an hour long, what's with that? Even my morning run lasted longer, geez!

For another, there wasn't really anything amazing about the ultimate leg. While the bunching all the way had been expected, the tasks were really lame. Skydiving was cool, as always, but having it on the last leg? Might as well get the team members performing the Roadblock to sit on carousel horses, hold on tight, and wait until the full round has been completed.

And the Detour; dressing a mannequin or carrying a painting? My indomi-cooking process is trickier than that, you know. The lady, who might or might not be a fashion designer, tried her best to salvage the 'amazingness' of the task by keeping saying no. But how many times could one really say no?

In the end, it was all decided by the cabbies and little else. Yes, again. Then, at least, Uch&J begging sequence, uncomfortable to watch as it was, made it exciting until the end.

Sorry to badmouth my fav show like this, but dude, come on! Didn't you guys win some Emmys?

That said, there was this memorable scene on the finish mat where Phil told Tyler and James they got to tell their family members of their winning there and then. I -- and I think so were many of the contestants -- was fully expecting the family to show up from behind bushes à la Survivor. But no, Phil simply produced a phone. I could almost swear I saw a what-the-fish look on Tyler's face.

Incidentally, that was one rare occasion where I could tell Tyler and James apart -- by virtue of Tyler telling his mom that he and James had just won The Amazing Race.

Oh well, that's one more season concluded. Still can't wait for the next one. Executive producer? Jerry Bruckheimer, still.

BTW, the last shot -- a frozen frame of Tyler and James celebrating -- got me half-expecting an epilogue. You know, like this:

Current music: KLa Project - Satu Kayuh Berdua
Current mood: happy

Can't agree more. It's indeed, a disappointing ending.

No footage of Lyn and Karlyn taking the second flight to New York, either.

Gw lebih tertarik baca epilogue-nya ;)

BTW.. gw baru ngeh bahwa executive producer AR sama dengan executive producer CSI ;)

Hello.. :)

I agree, it's not really a big ending, but that's better Tyler&James could catch up Rob&Kim on the flight incident, if not, that would have been even worse...

Well, I do hope Lyn&Karlyn could also catch up, the Paris' Race was really neck to neck, and that's pretty exciting to watch that.

Biarpun hasilnya tim favorit gua jadi kalah :P

Namun biar bagaimana, sebagai cowok setia B-) gua akan tetap setia menonton TAR-TAR selanjutnya. Hidup TAR!

Klo gw sih emang gak ambisi ngasih selamat ultah sebelum Okke.

SELAMAT ULANG TAHUN YA, DODOL... :)
SEMOGA MAKIN DODOL [baca: manis] DI USIA INI.. ;) Panjang umur, murah rejeki, .. kalo enteng jodoh gak perlu didoain kan? Jodoh loe kan udah enteng... hehehe... *Kke, loe beratnya berapa? Enteng kan ;)?*

Ssst... ultahnya deketan lho sama "partner" gw.. ;)
